 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. COMPANY EXECUTIVE ARRAIGNED FOR N2.4M JOB SCAM IN ABUJA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Office, on Tuesday June 28, 2021 arraigned one Mahmood Bello Abubakar, Managing Director of A.M Bello Nigeria Limited before Justice Bello Kawu of the Federal High Court sitting in Kubwa, Abuja for allegedly obtaining N2.4million (Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Naira) from on Moses Okpara on the pretext of securing Federal Government jobs for his children and acquaintances.


The offence is contrary to section 1(1) (a) and punishable under section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.


The defendant pleaded ‘not guilty’ when the charge was read to him. Prosecution counsel, A.U. Ringim thereafter requested that the defendant be remanded at the Correctional Centre pending trial. The defendant’s counsel, G.E Ejekela however moved an oral bail application for his client which was refused by the court.


Justice Kawu adjourned the case till September 30, 2021 for commencement of trial.
