 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. The engagement with the State Government focused on strengthening institutional collaboration in support of ongoing policing reforms anchored on professionalism, accountability, and intelligence-led operations.  The Inspector-General of Police reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to building a modern, service-driven institution that prioritizes public trust and operational efficiency. KDSG commends Police Operatives over foiled kidnap attempt in Igabi LGA 


The Kaduna State Government has commended police operatives who thwarted armed bandits following an attempted kidnapping in Dankande, Igabi local government area on Monday. 


The officers, while providing an escort detail to an expatriate late on Monday night, ran into an ambush laid by armed bandits around Dankande. 


After a prolonged gun duel, the bandits were repelled, many carrying serious gunshot wounds as they fled into the forest. A subsequent search of the area yielded the lifeless body of one of the bandits, along with four AK-47 magazines, loaded with 120 rounds of live ammunition. A mobile phone was also recovered, and is now central to ongoing investigations. 


Governor Nasir El-Rufai welcomed the report with satisfaction, and has conveyed his gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Muri and his team. The Governor reserved special praise for the operatives who foiled the attack, and lauded their gallantry. 


Letters of commendation from the Governor will be issued to the police operatives.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
