 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. ACCIDENT VICTIM COMMENDS SANWO-OLU, HSC FOR OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

An accident victim, Mr. Ismaila Asumo Bakare, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for employing him into the State Government, through the Lagos State Health Service Commission.


Bakare gave the commendation on Friday while receiving his Letter of Appointment from the Chairman of the Lagos State Health Service Commission (HSC), Dr. (Mrs) Atinuke Onayiga.


He said the Governor's action was really a surprise to him as he never thought that he would ever be offered any manner of appointment by the State government, especially when he did not know anybody that could help him secure one.


According to him, he did not only receive an offer of employment, but he was also adequately catered for medically after the accident.


Applauding the Chairman, Health Service Commission, Dr. (Mrs) Atinuke Onayiga as well as the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ademuyiwa Benjamin Eniayewun for their accommodating nature, Bakare said they showed love and care during his ordeal.


In his words: "You all have done very well for me. My family and I can not thank you enough for your show of love, please extend my gratitude and appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for coming to my aid in my hour of need".


Recall that Bakare was involved in an auto accident alongside an officer of one of the General Hospitals recently. The Health Service Commission swiftly intervened by offering necessary medical treatment as well as meeting other needs of the victim towards total recovery, which include an offer of employment.
