 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. EID EL KABIR: COAS OBSERVES EID PRAYERS AT THE FRONT LINES.[PHOTOS].#PRESS RELEASE.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has performed this year's Eid-El Kabir prayers with troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) at the 212 parade ground in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri. 


Lieutenant General Yahaya observed the prayers along with Principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, officers and soldiers of Theatre Command OPHK.


Delivering the EID sermon, the Acting Deputy Director Islamic Affairs 7 Division, Captain Mohammed Babangida prayed for peace and security of the nation. He made supplications to Allah for mercy, guidance and divine protection for the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari and all members of the Armed Forces, especially in the ongoing fight against insurgency and other security challenges in the country.
