 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. Items prepared for distribution included shuttle buses, sewing machines, deep freezers, grinding machines, barbing kits, wheelchairs for persons with disabilities, smartphones for content creators, generator sets, laptops, cash grants, farming kits, fertilizers, and hair salon equipment.  REHABILITATION OF IMO STATE SECURITY SYSTEM


The primary function of every Government is to secure lives and properties.


Going by the task-oriented leadership, the Shared Prosperity Government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma amongst others has prioritized security of lives and properties of Imolites through rehabilitating the security architecture of the State and her personnel.


Suffice to state that the administration of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in the last one year and currently has invested much in security through the purchase and provision of advanced and technological equipment; Security Vans; Security Emergency Call Center; Rebuilding of Police Stations;  Personnel Welfare; among other things.


Despite the ugly incidents of insecurity in the State, Gov. Hope Uzodimma has refused to allow Imo State be labeled as insecure,” hence the pragmatic approach through which peace has been restored in the State.


Therefore, in the area of security, Imolites can attest that the Shared Prosperity Government has recorded a major milestone and posterity will stand to appreciate the man - Gov. Hope Uzodimma for being a true leader.
