Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. A LADY AND HER SISTER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY POISONING HER HUSBAND OVER SUSPECTING HIM OF INFIDELITY. {PHOTO}.

 A lady and her sister have been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly poisoning her husband over suspicions of infidelity.


The suspect, whose name was given as Matilda, and her sister have since remained in custody followingthe death of her husband, Emem Etim Marley in Ajah, Lagos.


According to RNN Nigeria, Matilda had found another woman’s picture on her husband’s phone and suspected him of infidelity. She allegedly connived with her sister to poison him on Sunday, Aug 1.


According to a relative, the neighbors were knocking profusely on their door after hearing Emem scream for help. Matilda and her sister had locked him up and run to their father’s house.


When the door was forced open, the neighbors found the victim lying dead on the floor.


Neighbors have lamented the sad incident because the couple got married 8-months ago and Emem was said to have done everything for his wife to make her happy. He recently bought her a car and opened a store for her business.


“Matilda had sold the victim’s cars and hidden his land documents before she committed the crime. At the police station, she claims that her husband drank a poisonous substance of his own volition,” a source said.
