 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. INSECURITY: NCC SHUTS DOWN ALL TELECOM OPERATIONS IN ZAMFARA STATE.[PHOTO].

 The Nigerian Communications Commission has announced the shutdown of all telecom operations sites in Zamfara to deal with the rising insecurity.


The NCC disclosed this in a statement on Friday evening, signed by its CEO, Prof. Umar Danbatta, viewed by Nairametrics.


“The pervading security situation in Zamfara State has necessitated an immediate shut down of all telecommunications services in the State from today September 03, 2021,” the statement said.


They added that the shutdown is to enable relevant security agencies carry out required activities towards addressing the security challenge in the state.


“In line with this requirement, Globalcom is hereby directed to shut down all sites n Zamafara state and any sites in neighbouring states that could provide telecommunications series in Zamfara State,” it said.


They added that the shutdown will operate for 2 weeks from the 3rd of September to the 17th of September.
