 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. LAGOS POLICE RESCUE DEBTOR TIED TO A STAKE OVER N4.6M DEBT .{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.


The Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command has rescued an alleged debtor, Reuben Alozie tied to a stake by one Okoye Oluchi over unpaid N4.6m debt.


In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Command's Spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu stated that, "A young creditor identified as Oluchi Okoye aka PACA has been arrested by policemen attached to the Denton Police Station for tying his debtor, Reuben Alozie, to a stake over unpaid N4.6m debt."


The suspect tied the victim to a stick with ropes at No. 29, Abeokuta Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos from 22nd September to 23rd September when he was eventually rescued by the police.


According to the suspect, he resorted to self help after several efforts to recover his money from the victim failed.


The arrest of the suspect was made possible following a complaint lodged at the station by victim's wife, Angela Reuben who reported that her husband was deprived of his liberty by the suspect who held him hostage.


Following the arrest, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu directed that the suspect should be transferred to the Command's Tactical team for diligent investigation and prosecution.


The Commissioner of Police uses this medium to warn people against taking the law into their own hands instead of taking legal actions to seek justice.
