  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. 2022 Budget: Ogun begins town hall meeting in Ogun East


Ogun State government will on Wednesday commence Town Hall Meetings on the 2022 budget.


The meeting scheduled to kick start in Ogun East Senatorial District at will start by 2p.m will be conducted virtually.


In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, the topic of the meeting is 2022-2024 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and 2022 Budget and Citizens Engagement.


"The citizens’ engagement meeting was meant to engage stakeholders and rub minds with them to obtain their inputs and thoughts to engender a citizen budget for the year 2022.


"Expected participants are to connect through ZOOM video communications with the meeting ID: 827 4548 2808 and pass code, 309066, starting from 2p.m", Somorin stated.
