 Australian police say Islamic State inspired Bondi Beach mass shooting  Australian authorities have declared that the mass shooting which killed 15 people during a Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach was a terrorist attack inspired by the Islamic State group. Federal Police Commissioner Krissy Barrett said investigators reached that conclusion based on evidence recovered during the investigation. Officials identified the suspects as a father and son, aged 50 and 24. The older man, Sajid Akram, was shot and killed by police at the scene, while his son remains hospitalized under guard. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said investigators found Islamic State flags inside a vehicle linked to the attackers, reinforcing concerns that the violence was ideologically motivated. Of the dozens wounded in the attack, 25 people remain hospitalized, including 10 in critical condition. Three of the injured are children receiving care at a pediatric hospital. BANDITS KIDNAPPED CORP MEMBERS, FROM THEIR CAMP IN ZAMFARA.[PHOTO}.

Panic has set in among prospective corps members in Zamfara State following the abduction of some of their colleagues on their way to their orientation camp in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.


Although the police confirmed the abduction of two prospective corps members along the Sheme-Tsafe highway in the state, witnesses said about six others were missing from the incident that occurred on Tuesday.


The Tsafe hosts the National Youth Service (NYSC) orientation camp in Zamfara.


The police said a joint search and rescue operation was ongoing to rescue the abducted corps members and other victims.


The police spokesperson in the state, Muhammad Shehu, in a statement, said the police commissioner in the state, Ayuba Elkana, has visited the camp and assured NYSC officials of the safety of corps members in the camp.
