 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. RECRUITMENT INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE

CONSTABLES IN DELTA STATE

CHANGE OF VENUE

Delta State Police Command wishes to inform indigenes of the state that the NPF in collaboration with the Police Service Commission will be concluding the ongoing 2020 recruitment exercise nationwide.

The computer based test (CBT) for indigenes of Delta state is scheduled to hold on Friday 29th and  Saturday 30th of October 2021.

The CBT for Indigenes of the state which was earlier scheduled to hold at the Delta state E-library has been changed to WEST GATE CBT,  BY WEMA BANK NNEBISI ROAD, ASABA.

Candidate are advised to note this change in venue while the  date and time remains the same as sent to candidate's  Via SMS.

The Commissioner of Police Delta state while wishing candidates success in the exams also urges them to adhere strictly to all covid-19 protocols, and assures all candidates of adequate security.
