 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna, today, October 20, 2021 sentenced of one Mesheal Luka to six months imprisonment following his conviction on a two count amended charge of cybercrime and other internet-related fraud brought against him by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.


The defendant variously posed as an American citizen and induced his victims to send him money while pretending to be in romantic relationship with them.
