 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. VEHICLES STRANDED ON ADO-AKURE ROAD AS TRAVELLERS SPEND HOURS ON 30KM STRETCH.{PHOTOS}.

The frustrations being experienced by users of federal roads in Ekiti area of the federation have come to the fore.


Ado-Ilawe-Igbara-Oke and Ado-Ikere-Akure roads didn’t fare better, as commuters were also stranded on the roads due to the number of trucks plying it, in addition to the poor state of roads, which worsened commuters’ experience


Speaking on the issue, chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency, Femi Bamisile, said that the N460bn budgeted for construction and maintenance of federal roads in the 2021 budget and the N30bn allocated to FERMA have not been having positive effects on Nigerian roads.
