 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  ‘Yahoo Boy’ Bags Two-Year Jail Term in Benin


The Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC, today November 3, 2021 secured the conviction of one Balogun Mayowa (aka James) on one count charge bordering on fraudulent impersonation before Justice S. M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court, Benin-City, Edo State.


Mayowa had sometime in  April 2021 in Owo, Ondo  State, with intent to defraud   impersonated the identity of one James ( a white man )  and sent documents through the internet  to unsuspecting ladies,  claiming the documents emanated from the said James in contravention of section 22(2)(b)(ii) of the Cybercrime ( Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act 2015 and punishable under same Act”.
