 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. POLICE ARREST 4 DOWEN SCHOOL STUDENTS OVER SYLVESTER OROMON'S DEATH.[PHOTO].

Four students out of the five who allegedly assaulted late Dowen College Student, Sylvester Oromoni have been arrested.


Hakeem Odumosu, Lagos state commissioner of police confirmed the arrest on Tuesday.


Recall that late Sylvester Oromoni had before his death named five students who beat him up in school.


The incident led to the death of the student on November 30, 2021.


Odumosu said the students in custody are assisting the police in their investigation.
