  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Court Sends Phone Repairer to 12months In Prison for Cybercrime in Ilorin


The Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Monday, January 31, 2022 secured the conviction of a 25-year-old phone repairer, Abdulkazeem Ridwan, for offences bordering on cybercrime and possession of fraudulent funds.

Ridwan, who hails from Surulere Local Government Area, Ogbomoso, Oyo State was prosecuted on a two-count charge before Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.
