 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. EFCC Arraigns Car Dealer for N2m Fraud in Gombe


The Gombe Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 arraigned a Car dealer, Ahmadu Dauda Jadda, before Justice J.A. Awak of Gombe State High Court on a one count charge of stealing to the tune of N2,000,000.00 ( Two Million Naira) only.


Jadda, who deals in used vehicles, was alleged to have approached the complainant to purchase a Volkswagen Sharon bus at N2, 000,000. He offered to pay N1.200, 000 in two weeks and the balance in four equal installments.


After taking possession of the vehicle, the defendant only paid N500, 000. And, all efforts by the complainant to recover the balance or his vehicle, failed.


Investigation by EFCC revealed that the defendant upon taking possession of the vehicle, promptly sold it and diverted the proceed for personal use.
