 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. LASPPPA RESUMES MONITORING, ENFORCEMENT EXERCISE IN LAGOS.(PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE.


Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) has resumed its enforcement and monitoring exercise following the short break during the 2021 end of the year holiday and restated its determination to rid the State of illegal developments. 

The General Manager of LASPPA, Mr. Kehinde Osinaike, disclosed that the Authority has now extended the enforcement and monitoring exercise to the Oshodi area of the State following the conclusion of the exercise in Opebi/Allen axis of Ikeja. 

He explained that during the concluded exercise at Ikeja, property that violated the Town Planning Laws were sealed while buildings that were initially sealed but unlawfully unsealed without official authorisation were partially resealed, including shops on road setback.


Osinaike also avered that the Monitoring and Compliance Unit of the Agency had equally carried out an exercise in Eti-Osa, especially to check property that were sealed last year to ascertain if they have not been illegally unsealed by the owners.


“The Monitoring and Compliance Unit (MCU) will continue the exercise in Ajah axis to ensure that property along Lekki-Epe Expressway that have not regularised their developments from residential to commercial property were partially sealed to ensure compliance”, the General Manager asserted.
