 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. NIGERIAN ARMY WOMEN'S CORPS TAKES IT SENSITISATION VISIT TO 1 DIVISION AND NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY KADUNA

In an effort to deepen the understanding and appreciate the efforts of the female troops, their command responsibilities and contributions to national security, the Nigerian Army Women’s Corps (NAWC) embarked on a sensitization visit to 1 Division Nigerian Army and Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.

Delivering the lecture on behalf of the Commander NAWC Colonel DE Adamu, the Chief of Staff NAWC Colonel BS Omoge briefed the female participants on the History of the Corps, Roles and Responsibilities, Deployment of NAWC Personnel as well as the Leadership Opportunities. She then rounded up by emphasizing the need for female soldiers to be confident, discipline and professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties. This is aimed at achieving the mission of the Corps which is “To Administer and Train Professional Female Personnel to Support the NA Operational Engagements Within a Joint Environment in the Defence of Nigeria”.
