 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations. SANWO-OLU UNVEILS ADOPT-A-BIN PROGRAMME WITH 40,000 BINS



Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has unveiled the Adopt-a-Bin programme with an initial 40,000 standard bins deployed to households and commercial entities.

Sanwo-Olu spoke during the launch of the programme at Simpson Transfer Loading Station on Lagos Island, saying the gospel of waste sorting at source is now gaining ground as individual pickers of recyclable items are increasing by the day and recycling firms springing up.

According to the Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tunji Bello, "Today, we are at the threshold of another phase in our Lagos Recycle Initiative, as we launch standard waste bins for the “Adopt-A-Bin” project, which is LAWMA’s latest baby. The bins which come in two colours, the green for general waste and the blue for recyclable items, are for containerising waste".
