  The Hardship in Nigeria won’t end even if Tinubu remains in power for 300 years – Deji Adeyanju Human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has stated that President Bola Tinubu will not be able to alleviate the hardships in Nigeria, even if he were to remain in power for 300 years. Adeyanju argued that the difficulties faced by Nigerians will persist under Tinubu's leadership because he lacks solutions to the ongoing issues. He made these comments during an interview with DAILY POST, where he also addressed various topics, including the prosecution of EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters and the presidential ambitions of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi. In response to a question about his views on the current state of the country, Adeyanju likened Nigeria to a concentration camp where citizens are trapped. GOV. UZODIMMA EXTOLS THE IMO POLICE ANTI KIDNAPPING SQUAD COMMAND



His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has extolled the Imo State Anti Kidnapping Squad Command based on its contributions to the enforcement of peace and security in the State.

The commendation came as Governor Uzodimma visited the Imo State Police Command's Anti Kidnapping Squad. The Governor thanked them for dismantling camps of 'unknown gunmen' recovering caches of illegal fire arms used to create unrest and kill innocent citizens of the State.

The Governor assured the galant men and women of the force of his unalloyed support in the war against crime and in the maintenance of peace and stability in the State.

Governor Uzodimma used the opportunity to call on Ndi Imo to be part of the fight against crime and criminality in the State by volunteering information on suspects or suspicious activities to the security agencies, as it is the business of all stakeholders working with Government to stamp out crime and criminality in Imo State.

“Shared Prosperity requires shared responsibility” Uzodimma stated.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
