 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. “If Biafra is achieved today, who's going to lead the Igbos? You don't look for Independence when you are not fully ready for it. It's a process, a gradual process that requires time, finance, and agreement. 

"You don't just wake up and start agitating for Independence, you might get it but it'll take time. Since IPOB and other freedom fighters from the East have been fighting for Biafra, have they gotten it? The question is why? Because the Igbo elites have not come in terms with them and their patterns. 

"Until we agree to seat with them, tell them what we want and they too comply, we can then put heads together to see if it's workable. Aside that, I would advise the leadership of IPOB who are my younger brothers and sisters to calm down so that we can see how Nigeria can be restructured to our own benefits because we are better together in one Nigeria than divided."
