  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. RICE DEALER BAGS TWO YEARS IMPRISONMENT IN GOMBE. (PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

The EFCC, Gombe Zonal Command, on February 15, 2022, secured the conviction of a rice dealer in Gombe State, Ibrahim Yusuf.
He was sentenced to two years imprisonment by Justice Doraboh Sakkiam of the Gombe High Court, Gombe, on one count charge of cheating contrary to Section 320 of the Penal Code Law and punishable under Section 322 of same Law.
The convict was alleged to have sometime in October 2020 obtained the aggregate sum of N5,350,000.00 (Five Million, Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from one Usman Umar Bello by falsely representing to him that the money was payment for the purchase of 520 bags of paddy rice but converted same to his personal use.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
