 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Governor Wike In Rivers State Made Thousands Of Northerners Jobless – Arewa Forum

The Arewa Consultative Forum has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of being responsible for the thousands of Northerners who are jobless in the state.

The state chairman of the group, Usman Wada told our correspondent that the slaughter market that the governor demolished had sent thousands of Northerners into joblessness.

He said, “over 90 percent of Northern traders were doing business in the slaughter market before Wike came and demolished it.

“Up till now, our brothers have not been able to find other trade or job.

“Majority of the Northern population in the state came because of cattle and goat slaughtering business and that market that Wike demolished was our place of survival.

“As I speak to you. life has not been easy with our people in the state especially those who were trading in that market.”
