 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. LAGOS HEAD OF SERVICE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF PERMANENT SECRETARIES


The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, has announced the appointment of Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu as Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) with immediate effect.

A statement signed by Muri-Okunola stated that Governor Babajide Olusola-Sanwo-Olu approved the appointment taking cognisance of the appointee's track records, outstanding performance, diligence, commitment and selfless service to Lagos State. 

Muri-Okunola also said that Ms. Oyinade Nathan-Marsh was appointed as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, while Mrs. Adetutu Oluremi Ososanya assumed duty as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in February.

While wishing the three appointees a most rewarding and impactful tenure in office, the HoS noted that the dates for the swearing-in ceremony will be announced in due course.
