 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. PRESIDENT BUHARI CONGRATULATES DR DOYIN OKUPE ON 70TH BIRTHDAY

 
President Muhammadu Buhari sends warm greetings to Dr Doyin Okupe, former Special Assistant to the President, Media, 1999-2001 and Senior Special Assistant to the President, Public Affairs, 2012-2015, joining family and friends to celebrate with the medical doctor, who served the nation in many capacities.

President Buhari notes the worthy contributions of Dr Okupe to the political development of the country, setting out to contest election in the Second Republic at a young age, and working assiduously for the return of the country to full democracy.

The President believes Dr Okupe’s background as a medical doctor and former Managing Director of a private clinic, shaped his penchant for service, bringing a wealth of experience that keeps him active and relevant.

President Buhari prays that the publicist, publisher and democrat will thrive in good health, strength and more wisdom as he turns a septuagenarian.
