 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Woman Bags 10 Years Jail Term for Fraud in Lagos

The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on March 4, 2022, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Aishatu Arowojobe before Justice Mojisola Dada of a Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on an amended two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. Arowojobe was first arraigned on January 15, 2019 on a one-count charge to which she pleaded "not guilty".
Arowojobe, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N7,065,000 (Seven Million and Sixty-five Thousand Naira) from one Tim Onyeator by falsely representing to him that it was the cost of 'garri' business and purchase of plots of land for cassava plants, which pretence she knew to be false. The charge was afterwards amended to two counts and she still pleaded "not guilty". Visit our website:
