 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Governor Soludo Visits FRSC Officer Who Survived Armed Men Attack



Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo today, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, visited a patrol officer attached to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Ikechukwu Egwu, who survived unknown gunmen attack along Igbo-Ukwu/Uga Road early this month.

Professor Soludo, who was represented by his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, thanked God for the survivor and condemned incessant attacks by hoodlums on security agents in the state.

Recall that unidentified gunmen, on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, attacked a patrol team of the FRSC stationed on Igbo-Ukwu/UGA Road, killing two operatives and injuring Assistant Route Commander Ikechukwu Egwu.

Arriving at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, where the patient is currently receiving treatments, Dr Ibezim, a medical practitioner, accompanied by the Anambra State Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, commended the hospital management for its excellent medical care, expressing confidence that the patient, who is already recuperating, would soon get back to his feet.

The Deputy Governor, described the FRSC as armless body of security agencies in Nigeria with statutory responsibilities, hence finds no reason for such mindless attack.

Dr Ibezim stated that embarking on reckless bloodshed does not define any form of agitation which could ordinarily be sorted out through dialogue.

On his part, the Anambra FRSC boss, Mr Irelewuyi, appreciated the state government for giving strong backing to the Corps, restating that officers and men of the Corps in the state are not deterred by any circumstance.

The Chief Medical Director, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Dr Joe Akabuike, who stated that bullet wounds sustained by the patient were not badly severe, expressed hope that he would soon be discharged having receiving intensive medicare.

The patient, Mr Egwu said he was hopeful that in no distant time he will resume work.
