 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. HEARTLAND FC EJECTED FROM HOTEL FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY BILLS INCURRED BY MANAGEMENT OF HEARTLAND FOOTBALL CLUB. 


Heartland FC of Owerri players under lock and key in a hotel around MCC Uratta road Owerri North. 

The management of the hotel refuse to open gate for the players until the government pay them for the players food and hotel rooms fees. The players were seen inside the hotel premises stranded under lock and keys. 

The hotel management said Heartland FC is owing them approximately N700,000 thousand Naira for the player's food and hotel room charges. The hotel management also said that Heartland FC is also owing them another money for food and hotel rooms fees incurred by Heartland FC Queens of Owerri, over one million Naira few months ago.

The incident happened on Saturday morning 23 April, 2022 as the players were about leaving for their match against Wikki Tourist FC.
