 ANAMBRA POLICE ACTION ON THE CULT CLASH THAT RESULTED IN THE FATAL INJURY OF FOUR PERSONS AT AFOR NAWFIA MARKET The Anambra State Police Command wishes to provide a comprehensive update on the cult-related attack that occurred on the evening of 7th December 2025 at Afor Nawfia Market, along the Onitsha–Awka Old Road. It will be recalled that operatives of the Command attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, had, four days earlier, acting on credible intelligence about a planned rival cult confrontation, arrested two dangerous suspects and recovered a firearm from them. The arrested suspects have been assisting the Police with valuable information aimed at preventing further cult-related violence within Awka and its environs. NIGERIAN AIR FORCE TRAINING AIRCRAFT CRASHES IN KADUNA,OFFICERS FEARED KILLED. (PHOTO).

A training aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has crashed in Kaduna State.

Several officers are feared to have been killed in the plane crash which occurred on Tuesday.

While the details of the incident remain sketchy, two pilots were on board, Cable reports.

The incident comes barely a year after General Ibrahim Attahiru, the former Chief of Army Staff, died in a plane crash in the same state.

Attahiru and other military officers were killed when their plane crashed as it was about to land at the Kaduna International Airport on Friday, May 21, 2021. 

 The armed forces had said in a statement that the crash “claimed the lives of 10 other officers including the crew”.
