 Priest  condemns High Cost of Rent as 95  Children Receive First Holy Communion. By Osegbue Patricia The Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Inland Town, Onitsha, Very Rev. Fr. Samuel Uzondu, has condemned the increasing cost of house rent and other demands being imposed on tenants by some landlords, urging them to show compassion and give back to society. Fr. Uzondu made the call on Sunday during his homily at the Eucharistic Mass held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Inland Town, Onitsha, where 95 children received their First Holy Communion. The priest expressed concern over the hardship being experienced by many families, particularly those struggling to secure decent accommodation, and frowned at landlords who continuously increase house rents without considering the economic difficulties confronting the people. PDP Sets Up Osun State Caretaker Committee

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party has approved the composition of a Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Osun State Chapter of our Party.

This follows the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee of Osun State Chapter.

The Osun Caretaker Committee is to manage the affairs of the Party in Osun State from Friday, April 8, 2022 for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months) or till such a time a new State Executive Committee will be elected in the State.

The members of the Osun State Caretaker Committee are as follows:

1. Dr. Adekunle Akindele = Chairman
2. Otunba Femi Carena = Secretary
3. Barr. Niyi Owolade = Member
4. Chief Mrs. Ayo Awolowo = Member
5. Dr. B.T. Salami = Member
