 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Actors' Guild of Nigeria, Anambra State, Presents Food, Other Items To Orphanage In Awka



The Actors' Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Anambra State chapter, today May 7, 2022, presented food and other items to a children's home in Awka.

Items presented to the home included bag of rice, tubers of yam, cartons of noodles and sanitary material, which the group said were to help in taking care of children.

The visit to the home, is in addition to similar visits by the group in the past, which it said would continue in coming days.

Speaking on the purpose of the visits, the Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Anambra State chapter, Evangelist Leo Ewuzie said the exercise is part of social responsibility programmes of the group aimed at touching lives of the less privileged members of the society.

He commended the management of the children's home for maintaining it and taking good care of children living there, and promised that the group would be visiting regularly.

The Public Relations Officer of the association, Prince Amaechi Anachebe, who appreciated the children at the home for prayers offered for the good of the group, Anambra State and Nigeria at large, urged them to sustain it, reminding them that the future is full of promises.

Thanking the group for the visit, the coordinator of the home, Mrs Precious Asiegbunam said taking care of children from different backgrounds at such early stage could be challenging, called for more of such visit, which she said helps a lot at the home.
