Governor Soludo Asks Ndi Anambra To Take Back Their State

Following the recent violence by criminals in Anambra, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been meeting with ndi Anambra in Diaspora to brainstorm on how best to take back the State.

The most recent was his meeting with Ndi Anambra resident in Abuja where he reminded them that taking back their homeland from criminals who have laid seige on the state needs a collective action.

According to him, no matter how comfortable one is in any state other than his homeland, one remains a refugee there and decried the attitude of those who are presently making the State unhabitable for citizens who now prefer to be wherever they are for their safety.

He lamented that insecurity has become prevalent in the state thereby, forcing the wealthy to desert their homelands which are now being taken over by criminals in the name of agitation.

The Governor however, noted, that the security challenges facing the State can be surmounted if all hands are on deck and not left for government alone saying that individuals and organisations can contribute to the cause of flushing criminals out of the State.

He charged community leaders to take charge of their communities by giving information to relevant authorities on suspicious persons and movements in their locality and called on wealthy Ndi Anambra to donate generously to the State Security Trust Fund as the State government does not have all the resources to effectively combat the rising insecurity in the State

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman, Anambra State Security Trust Fund, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, had lamented that the incessant insecurity situation in the State has become a major problem for the people and government of Anambra State.

He urged the people to support Governor Soludo's initiative on tackling the prevailing insecurity in the State and bring Anambra back to its position as the safest State in Nigeria.

According th him, though Governor Soludo is determined to build a livable and prosperous homeland for ndi Anambra, he cannot achieve it with the increasing insecurity in the State, hence all hands must be on deck to achieve the desired change.
