 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. GUNMEN HAVE KILLED 4-PEOPLE INCLUDING TWO BROTHERS IN ANAMBRA STATE IN THE LAST THREE DAYS.(PHOTOS).

Gunmen have k1lled four people including two brothers in Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas of Anambra State in the last three days.

The latest development is coming few days after gunmen k1lled five people at a beer parlour in Osumenyi, Nnewi South.

The brothers identified as Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi and Nnajiofor Modobi, of the same parents, were k1lled in Ukpor, the Headquarters of Nnewi South on Monday, May 2. 

Two others were mürdered along Udorji Road, beside St. Mary’s Church, Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo on Monday May 2. 

Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi popularly known as Obere was a former Youth Chairman in Ukpor community.

It Was gathered that the Gunmen first k1lled Nnajiofor right in their house when they invaded their home in the wee hours of Monday, after which they bl!ndfolded and abducted Godwin, whom they also eventually k1lled close to Utuh Junction and dümped his corpse in the middle of the road.
