 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. GUNMEN HAVE KILLED 4-PEOPLE INCLUDING TWO BROTHERS IN ANAMBRA STATE IN THE LAST THREE DAYS.(PHOTOS).

Gunmen have k1lled four people including two brothers in Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas of Anambra State in the last three days.

The latest development is coming few days after gunmen k1lled five people at a beer parlour in Osumenyi, Nnewi South.

The brothers identified as Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi and Nnajiofor Modobi, of the same parents, were k1lled in Ukpor, the Headquarters of Nnewi South on Monday, May 2. 

Two others were mürdered along Udorji Road, beside St. Mary’s Church, Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo on Monday May 2. 

Godwin Ikechukwu Modobi popularly known as Obere was a former Youth Chairman in Ukpor community.

It Was gathered that the Gunmen first k1lled Nnajiofor right in their house when they invaded their home in the wee hours of Monday, after which they bl!ndfolded and abducted Godwin, whom they also eventually k1lled close to Utuh Junction and dümped his corpse in the middle of the road.

Büllets were also sighted close to the bl00d!ed corpse, with büll3t wounds on his chest and other parts of the body.
