 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Policeman Shot Dead, 2 Wounded As PDP Primaries Turn Bloody In Cross River

One policeman has been confirmed dead while two others were seriously injured on Monday, May 23 in Obudu, Cross River State during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives primaries for Obudu/Bekwerra/Obanliku Federal Constituency.

Heavily armed thugs invaded Handmaid Nursery and Primary School, the venue for the primaries and opened fire on the policemen and delegates, destroying and burning cars and other properties.

One of the policemen, identified as Martins Mbang, died on the spot while the second policeman who was seriously inured was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
