 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Prayers Not Working For Nigeria, Says Fashola

 “You see every time you go to government office now, in the morning is prayer, in the afternoon is prayer. In markets now. I didn’t grow up to see that but the question to ask ourselves is it working? So maybe we should go back to what used to work.

“We have to choose, there is a time to serve God and a time to work. And we can only consume, we can only use, we can only express and share what we produce.”
