 *PRESS RELEASE* EDO POLICE CONVENES POLITICAL PARTIES, SETS SECURITY TONE FOR 2027 ELECTIONEERING The Edo State Police Command has convened Chairmen of political parties, candidates and other key stakeholders in the electoral process for a strategic security meeting ahead of the 2027 electioneering campaigns. The meeting, held on Wednesday, 16th September, 2026, was designed to strengthen engagement between the Police and political actors, promote early understanding of security expectations, and establish a framework for peaceful and lawful political activities across the State. Addressing participants, the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Patrick Daaor, psc(+), mnips, emphasised that the role of the Police is to create the conditions for lawful political activity to thrive, not to participate in the political contest, and stressed the need for responsible conduct and sustained cooperation with security agencies. Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, felicitate with the Anglican Bishop, Diocese on the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo on his 55th Birthday.

Governor Soludo applauded Bishop Nwokolo for his apostolic impact within the State and across the world and prays that God gives him more strength and wisdom to continue his good work in the vineyard of the Lord
