 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. POLICE ARREST ONE FOR ILLEGAL
POSSESSION OF FIREARM


Officers of lkorodu division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Kabiru Garba .m. along
lgbogbo Ikorodu road.

The suspect was arrested at about 2300hrs on Friday
June 4, 2022 after he took to his heels upon sighting policemen on routine patrol.

After a through search of the suspect, a Beretta pistol was found in his possession. Preliminary investigation has
begun to unravel more details about the suspect, his
activities and source of the firearm. Suspect would be

arraigned in court at the conclusion of investigation.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun
Alabi, fdc, has assured residents of Lagos State that

efforts are being redoubled towards eradicating all forms criminality in the state.
