 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. Police Nab Man 34 For Smashing 3yr - Old Child To Death At Nkwele Ezunaka, Oyi Council Area 

The Anambra State Police Operatives yesterday arrested one Mr. Onwele Anayo aged thirty-four, on the murder of Divine Eze aged three, residing in Hillview Estate, Nkwelle -Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area.

 

In a release signed by the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said that Preliminary information shows that the suspect visited the father of the victim on Wednesday fifteenth June 2022 and spent the night in the victim’s house, and in the early hours of yesterday, an argument ensued between the father and the suspect.

 

The suspect took the child as he was sleeping and killed him, by hitting him on the floor severally and carrying a knife from the room, pursuing the father around the house, threatening to kill him.

 

Police Operatives have visited the scene and recovered the body of the child and investigation is ongoing.

 

The police said that further development in the matter will be communicated to the public.
