 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. EDO: HUSBAND ARRESTED OVER DEATH OF HIS 5-MONTHS PREGNANT WIFE .(PHOTOS).

The Edo State Police Command has arrested an alleged wife beater, Vincent Emmanuel, over the death of his 5-months pregnant wife in Benin City, Edo State.

Vincent, and his wife, Cynthia Emmanuel, 31, got married in 2019 and they were expecting their third child before the unfortunate incident occurred. 

It was gathered that after allegedly be@ting his wife to death, on Sunday morning, July 17, Vincent tried to stage a fake sucide scene by hanging her with a rope. 

He thereafter took photos and videos of her and sent to his mother-in-law. 

According to a source, “The suspect was in the habit of physically abusing his wife even when she was pregnant. 

He ran away after he sent the photos and videos to his mother-in-law. But he was later tracked down by the police and was taken into custody.  

He is believed to have beaten her to death and staged her alleged sucide to evade arrest.”

It was reported that the landlord heard the man beating his wife as usual but he ignored since it was almost a norm.
She was in her 20's.
