 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. FHC REMANDED THE AGF AND OTHERS TO KUJE PRISON.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja has remanded the Accountant- General of the Federation, AGF, Ahmed Idris and two others to Kuje Prison. Trial adjourned to Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for hearing and determination of bail application. More details later.

Alleged N109bn Fraud: Court Remands Ex-AGF Idris in Prison

Justice A. O. Adeyemi Ajayi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama Abuja, remanded the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and his co-defendants: Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Kudu Usman in Kuje Correctional Centre pending the determination of their bail applications.

The trio were arraigned alongside a company, Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited, on a 14-count charge bordering on gratification, abuse of office and money laundering to the tune of over N109 billion fraud.
