OLUFEMI psc, ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND Gentlemen of the press, I welcome you to this briefing, convened to present an account of the operational achievements and progress recorded by the Delta State Police Command from January 2025 to date. As Commissioner of Police Delta State Police Command, I consider it my duty to brief the public on our performances and measures taken to safeguard life and property in the State. Within the period under review, the Command adopted a proactive, intelligence-driven and community-centred policing strategy, working with sister security agencies and community stakeholders (Vigilante, Anti-cult volunteers, PCRC, CSOs, traditional rulers, etc) to sustain targeted operations against criminal networks. Fire Razes Two-Storey Building in Onitsha, Property Destroyed

Property worth millions of naira were lost in a fire outbreak at a two-storey residential building in Akunnia Street, Woliwo, Onitsha, Anambra State in the early hours of Monday.

The incident, which occurred around 4.35am, affected the last floor of the building.

Though no life was lost in the inferno, the fire, according to eyewitnesses, would have spread to other adjourning buildings if not for quick intervention of neighbors before the arrival of firefighters who later brought it under control.

Confirming the incident, the State Fire Chief, Engr. Martin Agbili said the cause of the fire remained unknown, adding that no life was lost in the inferno.

He said: “At about 0435hrs (4.35am) of today, Monday 25-07-2022, Anambra State Fire Service received a distress call of fire outbreak in a two-storey residential building at Akunnia Street, WOLIWO, Onitsha.

“We deployed two (2) fire trucks and firefighters to the fire scene. The fire was fought, controlled and extinguished with the assistance of the public who were at the scene before our arrival.

“Although the fire affected the last floor of the building but a lot were saved within and around the burning building.

“As at the time of fighting the fire, the cause of the fire remains unknown and there was no loss of life.

“Major challenge encountered was that our fire trucks found it difficult to penetrate the street to the burning building due to how the buildings were structured with no space for emergency vehicles.

“We left the fire scene at about 0645hrs (6.45am).”

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
