 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Funke Akindele confirms she’s Jandor’s running mate
 
Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, on Tuesday confirmed that she is the running mate to Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State in the 2023 election.

In a video she posted on her verified Instagram page, she revealed her reasons for going into politics.

Her words: “I saw it as an opportunity to help liberate and improve the wellbeing of our people, particularly the deprived youth, women and the girl child.

“My decision is not just to accept this huge responsibility but to also work tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potential.”

Akindele will be officially unveiled as running mate to Jandor in Ikorodu later today.

The event, which is coming up at the residence of the apex leader of Lagos4Lagos Movement, late Mrs Adenrele Ogunsanya, Ikorodu, is scheduled for 11 am.
