SON ARRESTED FOR RAPING HIS OWN MOTHER IN SOUTH AFRICA. (PHOTO).

 Son Arrested for Raping his Own Mother  Watervaal police arrested a 28-year-old man for raping, kidnapping and intimidating his mother at Magangeni village in Watervaal.  According to the preliminary reports, the suspect came home and started demanding money from his mother on Saturday, 13 December 2025 and she responded that she had no cash.  The suspect apparently became aggressive and the mother has medical condition. The suspect allegedly insulted, attacked and suddenly raped her.  The victim tried to resist, but she was overpowered. After the alleged rape ordeal, he locked the victim inside the house and left.  The victim managed to get assistance from members of the community who unlocked the house and freed her. She then informed the police about the incident and a rape case was registered at Watervaal SAPS.  The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Monday, 15 December 2025. MRS OBINABO ASSURES OF MINISTRY’S SUPPORT TO Association of Persons Living with Sickle Cell Disease (APLSCD)

Anambra state Women and Social Welfare commissioner Mrs Ify Obinabo has assured of her ministry’s support towards alleviating the plights of persons living with sickle cell disease in the state.

This she said during an interface in her office with members of the association led by their national coordinator Aisha Edwards - Maduagwu. 

Mrs Obinabo while addressing the group explained that intending couples should always go for their genotype test before marriage to avoid birthing children with sickle cell anemia disease.

Madam Commissioner went further to explain that the government of Prof Chukwuma Soludo will not only sensitize the public on the threatening situations surrounding the health and economic well-being of sickle cell patient but will go the extra mile to give support and attend to their needs.

Earlier while reeling out the reason for their visit, the national coordinator of Association of Persons Living with Sickle Cell Disease, Aisha Edwards Maduagwu noted that persons living with sickle cell disease are the worst marginalized and discriminated against in the scheme of development hence the need for assistance and partnership in order to fight the disease.

Aisha Edwards-Maduagwu urged the honorable commissioner to help them especially in the area of high medical costs for treatment and other related problems.

The association later took a group photograph with women and social welfare boss.
