 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. My Birthday Will Be Private, To Be Celebrated With The Sick, Less Privileged -- Mrs Soludo



Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo says her birthday will be private and celebrated with the less privileged and sick people at hospitals.

Mrs Soludo, who stated this ahead of her tomorrow, July 31, 2022, birth's anniversary, explained that it would give her better satisfaction and contentment, knowing that she used God's privilege to her to touch those in need.

Explaining the schedule for the private event, the governor's wife noted that she will attend a Mass to thank God for the gift of a new phase, after which she will depart for randomly selected hospitals and orphanages, to spend some time with the people in both places.

While asking Ndi Anambra, especially the women, to keep her in their prayers Mrs Soludo prayed God to sustain his blessings upon Anambra State, her husband's administration and her family.
