  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. N6.2bn Fraud: Court Adjourns Jonah Jang’s Case for Judgment

 Justice C.L Dabup of the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos, has adjourned the ongoing trial of a former governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah David Jang and a former cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (OSSG), Yusuf Pam, for judgment.

He made the adjournment on Thursday, July 14, 2022 after the adoption of final written addresses by both the prosecution and defence counsel. 

Jang and Pam are facing trial for alleged criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of Plateau State funds to the tune of N6.3 billion.

At the resumed hearing of the case on Thursday, Prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, urged the court to consider the evidence of all the fourteen (14) witnesses before it, especially the evidence of Prosecution Witness 5, PW5, which supported the confessional statement of the second defendant. Jacobs submitted that the required proof is not “proof beyond all shadow of doubt”.
