  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Security Breeches: FG Orders Immediate Closure of FGC Kwali, Abuja. 



The Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of one of its colleges, the Federal Government College, FGC, Kwali, located in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja . 

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who gave the directive said the closure became necessary following security breaches on Sheda and Lambata Villages, suburbs of Kwali Area Council which also threatened the school. 

A statement signed by the Director Press and Public Relations, Ben Bem Goong, quoted the Minister, as saying the timely intervention of security agencies saved the situation and therefore, directed that arrangements be made for final year students to conclude their NECO examinations.

The statement also noted that the Minister had also directed Principals of Unity Colleges across the country to liaise with Security Agencies within their jurisdictions to forestall any security breaches in their schools.

Meanwhile, there have been unsubstantiated information that other Federal Government Colleges within the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have asked parents to come pick their children earlier than the official closing date owing to insecurity in the Capital City.
