 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. THEATRE COMMANDER OPHK COMMISSIONS INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS IN GIWA BARRACKS


The Theatre Commander, Major General Christopher Musa has on Friday, 29 July 2022 commissioned a Borehole Water System at 21 Special Armoured Brigade Medical Reception Station (MRS) as well as a newly renovated Brigade Commander's Guest House in Giwa Barracks.

In his remarks, the Theatre Commander lauded the Commander 5 Brigade, Brigadier General GO Olorunyomi for embarking on projects geared towards improving the welfare of the barracks community. In his address to barrack women, he encouraged the entire barrack community to imbibe good maintenance culture and utilize the project appropriately.

While assuring the public of the military's commitment and resilience in ending the war against terrorism, Maj Gen Musa urged barrack women to continue to support their spouses and the military in general. In his words he said, "your support means a lot to us, at most times it is our primary morale booster and the knowledge of it keeps us going and pushing hard".

Highlight of the event was the visit to the MRS, assessment tour of the barracks, presentation of plaquea and cash donation to barrack women.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
