 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Thugs Invade Catholic Church In Lagos, Cart Away PVC Registration Machines 

Some thugs have invaded St. Bridget Catholic Church ljesha, Surulere Lagos, and carted away registration machines and disrupted officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission from registering people for the permanent voter card (PVC).

As at the time of filing this report, the Parish Priest of the church this reportedly locked up the church while people who came out to get registered scampered for safety.

A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity told Vanguard that the thugs invaded the venue, saying they wouldn’t be allowed to register because they won’t vote for their (thugs) candidate.

He claimed they destroyed INEC materials and carted away some registration items

He added that the police have been mobilised to the area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
