 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Air Peace offers 11-year-old Anambra’s Gymnastics Sensation N1m

Air Peace, a private Nigerian airline, on Monday said it has handed some reward to Anambra’s gymnastics sensation, Stephanie Onusiriuka.

The airline said on its twitter handle @flyairpeace that Onusiriuka received the sum of one million Naira from its Chairman, Allen Onyeama.
It added that this reward was for her performance at the recent African Club Gymnastics Championship in Pretoria, South Africa.

The airline said further than that, the 11-year-old also earned free flight tickets to all Air Peace destinations for trainings and competitions.

“Congratulations to Stephanie Onusiriuka, an 11-year-old Nigerian who recently won a gold medal at the Junior Olympics Level of the African Club Championship in Pretoria.”

It added: “Supporting young talent, especially in sports, is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility orientation”.

Onusiriuka, alongside eight other gymnasts from the Abuja-based Tony International Gymnastics Club, featured at the Aug. 12 to Aug. 13 event in Pretoria.
